Explore the town
Many of the town's attractions centre on the beach. Walking and cycling are convenient ways to explore the central area. Running parallel to the shore, pedestrian Quinta Avenida brings together small hotels, shops, art galleries, restaurants, bars and street entertainment.
Look beyond the main avenue for local seafood restaurants and taco spots. Along ‘La Quinta’, as residents call it, you can also find reminders of Maya history and even a cenote.
